YAF & S4C MasterChef Competition 06 August 2010!

Pin drop silence. The air was so still, you could cut it with a knife...

And cut with a knife we did! Not just chopping and slicing, but carving and mincing and all sorts of fancy-schmancy moves! The YAF organised a MasterChef cooking competition on 6 August and invited all the YAFers and Sparks4Christ to come and test their culinary skills!

After the initial explanation by the Phileo Sub-Committee, the enthusiastic and rambunctious YAFers and Sparks ooh-ed and ahh-ed as they previewed the ingredient they were given.

They plotted in hushed and secretive voices their plan for WORLD DOMINATION!! Ahem, I mean, the title of MASTERCHEF! :)

After much debate and discussion, it was off to the preparation stage! With all the group members working in harmony to produce a taste sensation so delicate, so delectable, so perfect... Ahhh...

After an hour of working very hard, time was up and the YAFers and Sparks had to add the finishing touches!

They plated up really beautiful dishes!

Finally, it was time for all the groups to sit down and eat the scrumptious food!

While the judges had to work so tirelessly trying every single yummy creation! :)

All in all, the food was indeed wonderful and seeing the unity of the YAFers and Sparks as they happily worked together was also a great blessing! Thank God for this opportunity we had to spend time with each other as brothers and sisters in Christ, and the fellowship we had over dinner! A big thank you to all the Phileo members who planned, videorecorded, photographed, publicised and organised this event! Last but not least, thank you to everyone who came and participated and made it such an enjoyable night. :) May we continue to grow in unity and love for one another and may we always glorify God in all that we do! :)
